ABOUT SREEJA

Sreeja Renganath is a self-taught artist, well versed in Pencil arts, Digital painting, Poster color and Acrylic paintings. Since her childhood, she has been fed with stories of Indian culture, its greatness, values and the importance of traditional arts. This created an undying interest in her to learn and spread the divine arts.

 

Her artistic works focusses on looking back the pages of History to revive the traditional Indian dance forms, historical inspirational characters and Indian Mythology, which portrays  the cultural aspects and lifestyle of the characters / dancers, the jewelries used, costumes, instruments, expressions and gestures. Her mission is to spread the beauty and divinity in Indian artforms and culture to a wider audience.

 

Sreeja Renganath started learning Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music at the tender age of five. She has been learning Bharatanatyam for the past 20 years under the tutelage of many renowned Gurus. She is currently undergoing advanced training under the guidance of the renowned legendary dancer Dr. Vyjayanthimala Bali.

Sreeja Renganath received her training in Veena from Sri K.P.S. Chinnaiya Sivakumar, descendant of the legendary Tanjore Quartet. She has been learning many rare compositions in the unique Tanjore Baani.
