Veena & Carnatic Music
Rooted in the rich musical traditions of the Tanjore bani, Sreeja’s journey in Carnatic music and Veena began at a young age alongside her Bharatanatyam training. Her learning under Sri Chinnaiya Sivakumar, direct descendant of the illustrious Tanjore Quartet lineage, has deeply shaped her understanding and the spiritual essence of Carnatic music.
The Music and Veena training program offers structured learning rooted in the traditional Tanjore style, beginning with strong foundational training for beginners. The curriculum includes swaras, alankaras, geethams, jathiswarams, varnams, keerthanais, and kalpana swarams in both vocal music and Veena. The sessions focus on raga understanding, rhythm, bhava, and traditional presentation while nurturing disciplined and performance-oriented learning.
Classes are offered for students of different age groups and learning levels through personalized and structured guidance in both vocal music and Veena. Workshops and mentorship sessions focus on building strong classical foundations while nurturing musical sensitivity, creativity, and appreciation for traditional Carnatic music.

Sreeja receives advanced training in Veena and Carnatic music under Sri Chinnaiya Sivakumar, son of Sangeetha Kalanidhi K.P. Sivanandham and a direct descendant of the legendary Tanjore Quartet family. This offered deep exposure to traditional compositions and unique nuances of the Tanjore bani.
